Overview

Bullet pointOnline Self-Study Courses (with optional registration and exam)

Advocacy Unlimited is pleased to make these online self-study courses available to all our website visitors at no cost. Current courses include an overview of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Preparing and Giving Legislative Testimony, and an introduction to Developing Cultural Competency. These courses are supplemental to AU's Recovery University, a training and certification program for Recovery Support Specialists, and AU's Advocacy Education Course, our long standing and highly effective advocacy training curriculum. The online self-study courses can be taken at your own pace.

Registration for the online self-study courses is optional. However, if you do register, you will be able to take an online exam after you've completed a course. If you get a passing grade on the exam (70% or higher), you will receive a Certificate of Completion. This is available only to those who register.

Bullet pointTutorials (no registration, no exam)

Advocacy Unlimited's online tutorials are also open to all our website visitors and offered at no cost. There is no registration for these tutorials, and there are no exams. Tutorials include various computer training courses, Internet and email basics, writing effective letters to the editor, and writing effective letters to elected officials. You can take these tutorials at your own pace.
